Tips for Offensive Security Experienced Penetration Tester (OSEP) Certification
This exam makes OSCP seem ridiculously easy.
What is OSEP?
If you are looking for the official details, then you can take a look over the Offensive Security page here: https://help.offensive-security.com/hc/en-us/articles/360050293792-OSEP-Exam-Guide
Basically, OSEP is an exam that simulates a real environment that you have to compromise, from an external unauthenticated starting point.
It’s though, it’s like 10xOSCP exams in only one, but I’ll try helping you with this guide, by presenting some useful tips and hints.
Complete the Lab Challenge Machines
Go into the exam only after completing the extra mile exercises and the challenge machines, not once, but twice!
Do you still feel uncomfortable with a specific topic from the outline of the PEN-300 course? Then don’t schedule yet! You should master them all, and I strongly recommend taking this advice, because the course’s attack vectors can be found during the exam, but under different contexts and most probably at a more advanced level.
